Career: Beauty and Fashion Industry and carying the Pagona and Pensanti Legacy as the cutting EDGE in the Beauty and Fashion Industry for over 80 years. Founder of Edgy Elegance Cosmetics, 2008 Biography Karynn started her illustrious career over 30 years ago, working for Jon Peters in Beverly Hills, as the under study to Maria Augustine. From there it was teaching modeling at John Robert Powers, magazine covers for Big Beautiful Women, and doing makeup for the runways of New York. However, her most fulfilling times have been teaching thousands of women the art of makeup application according to their lifestyle. Creating cosmetic lines for well know salons in the greater Los Angeles area led Karynn to creating her own line and opening her own makeup studio in Naples-Belmont Shore where her own family became her priority as she juggled the drama of home and work. She has survived domestic abuse, homelessness and addiction, and by the Grace of God she found herself back helping women understand their beauty and purpose in life by show them that they are more than they are told, and that they are greater than there circumstances. Karynn’s philosophy is: Beauty is surviving tragedy and coming out the other side with a little dignity and a whole lot of character.

 Words, I love the power of words! For in the power of the tongue is the power of life and death. I have always loved to read for it took me to worlds, languages, cultures, peoples, countries and different points of reference with the force of their power.

 Words have inspired love, ignited war, given hope and brought down a persons dreams. The lack of knowledge or the lack of words put together in the creative form of thought has created a void of ignorance. Or on the other side has inspired a nation. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, or even the words of one of my favorite movies to date, Brave Heart.

 The reason for this background is the other day I came across some of my Ancient Books, which I love, some written in the eighteen hundreds by some of the great authors of that time. I mean some of the greats, Allen Edgar Poe, Pilgrims Progress, Shakespeare, serious stuff, full of wisdom and great knowledge from the creative form of the time WORDS. However, something had happened, someone did not know their value or what they where and innocently had painted them with cheap paint, not cheap words, but cheap paint. The words where HOPE. JOY and LOVE.

 The sinking feeling of having something of great value covered by cheap paint made my heart sink. How could someone not know their value that was in front of them, how could  someone not returned them to me, who else would treasure such works of art?

 And then the lesson hit me hard and fast..Karynn, how can you cover yourself with cheap anything, a false smile, the time to call someone when you could feel they needed help. A cheap and false image to hide the true beauty of a wounded warrior. How could you cover anything that I have made you with cheap smelling perfume of your own behavior, separate from the Me and the riches of knowledge that I have given you.

 Now you know how I feel when the wisdom, knowledge, guidance and creative form of words that create, ignite, bring back to the original form of a persons soul is used for a coffee holder, a background or accessory, or ignored for it is considered a fairy tale, or expired knowledge in the 2012. Even for you, you are becoming a wandering soul in your business and have left your first love, My words to you.

 My whole life has been set aside to put value on women and help them understand their beauty through encouragement and creating their unique and individual beauty. Yet, I was getting so close to forgetting mine….Your beauty is yours, unique, individual, designed by your failures and success, your uncertainties and your journey, no one else was meant to live your live or possess your beauty.  I never had a mother, physically, I was born from a womb where I was fearfully and wonderfully made, nevertheless, my mother wanted to make me a reflection of her, the only problem was she did not have one. My stepfather ignored me for I was only a pretty stone in his empire. I was left wandering, I was alone.

 Everything we do is to get love, everything! I do not mean to offend only to ignite thought here, for it is my DNA… A prostitute on the streets though you may not agree with her method or morals is still looking for love, for it was never given; most prostitutes are victims of sexual abuse at the hands of those sent to protect them. The gang member who crimes seem so senseless to one rooted and grounded in love, his choices make perfect sense to him, for all he desires is the respect of his peers for he never had the example or love of a father. No one knows the way of love if it is not reflected. How easy we are to judge when we as humans all share the same quality. We need and desire LOVE.

 I have heard it said that the addicted souls are God’s abandoned children, either, physically, emotionally or spiritually. Addiction comes in many forms and crosses all racial and economic lines, for it comes from the same source, a spiritual dis-ease. A wandering womb. A desire to have one’s soul, quieted by love.

 For sake of argument, if we are truly created in the IMAGE of GOD (our true reflection) and where made male and female, then the great I AM is both masculine and feminine. Tender in mercy and full of love, as well as a warrior of truth, and honor. I do not believe it is in a sane world that one can call out and say “Hey, you made a mistake here; you dropped me off in the wrong family.

 If it where not for my lack of a mother’s love. I would not have searched so strongly for my own identity and found my reflection. If it where not for a man that I meant nothing to I would not of searched so hard for the love of a Father. Not only my Heavenly Father that gave me life and meaning, additionally, my earthly father who’s love has saved my life in all forms that a woman can be saved.

 There are no mistakes and adversity falls on us all. Instead of giving it definition, give it passion for your purpose, for it lies inside of you and is waiting for you, through the door of forgiveness and  the truth of understanding, that all roads lead to love, if we let life teach us and not define us.

 There is no one that has power of you, unless you give it to them, forgive all for they know not what they do, this was also meant for you. They simply have not found there reflection yet, live in yours…

Intuitive Law of Beauty number 38

What do you do when things do not go your way? I am not talking about the simplicity of the dishwasher broke or the radiator overheated on your way to an important business meeting….I am talking about the BIG ONES, the ones you did not plan for or expect.

A child mimics your former husband and tells you they hate you, they become the abuser as he was, and you forget how hard it was to be in that and have to handle the reality that people become who they are around. Or, your closest friend calls with THAT call? When the husband walks out, your parents die or worse they divorce you because you have chosen to take responsibility for your life? And in growing up that means leaving toxic people behind?

What do you do when your husband has still not found a job and the depression is so deep even the doctor’s cannot help? Or worse you as the woman who loves him are rendered helpless watching his decline. What about that call that your loved one has a terminal illness?

The answer is I simply do not know! I have no knowledge or wisdom only experience and a lot of it. I have been through all of the scenarios above. My own mother who has hated me from the womb to this day along with her husband spends thousands of dollars to try and end my life. Because I know the truth of theirs.

The root word of suffering is passion, and without this suffering, I would not be the woman of passion that I am today. I would not have the heart for the broken hearted the ability to pull up those who feel defeated. The stamina to walk with those that are dying, the desire to sit with a woman for hours through her tears about the children lost to her. The joy of laughter uncontrollable about the stupid things we women have done to try and control the world and avoid the depth of the pain that tends to visit us all. For the rain falls on the just and the un-unjust.

Life gets tough and we need to wear helmets of close reliable trusted friends and advisors who simply will listen. Not give advice, only experience, and say when I went through that, this is what I found.

Pain does come, and will continue, however, joy does come in the morning. Character is built through tragedy, as a matter of common knowledge most fortune five hundred companies will not hire someone who has not been through adversity that could of taken them out, for the trick I remember , THIS TOO SHALL PASS.

All I can add, is I have learned that every day is changing, along with the pain, comes unspeakable joy, with the loss comes incredible and equal opportunity. Nothing stays the same and do not allow your self to get stuck in the story of what is happening now; tomorrow comes with the unexpected and the miracle. I had the great opportunity to speak with the lovely ladies at The Living Water Church in San Juan Capistrano, California.

The subject matter came from Titus Chapter 2 Verse 3 where beauty was discussed by being delivered and ever present by our current behavior. That we act our way into feeling beautiful.  If we wait until feeling beautiful before we act, it usally never comes.

The definition of value is something one holds dear, invaluable,  the positive quality of being precious and beyond value. RICHNESS.

The principle of value is. A rule of standard especially good behavior. There it is again, we act our way into feeling beautful, if we wait until we feel beautiful, beauty hides for it is known by its behavior, and we all know as women we find our faults first, and ususaully will not own our individual beauty.

Holding dear our worth and holding ourselves as valuable comes from what we contibute to the lives of others. There is so many princesses left behind enemy lines that have been told they have no value usually at the hands of someones elses behaviour. Needles, bottles, addictions, depression all can be lifted by behaving beautiful and giving a helping hand and bringing hope where hope has been lost simply by your presence, a word of encouragemnt.

Listen to the adjectives, apprecitate, character,enhance, excellence, respect, SIGNIFICANCE, valor, = Behavior.

A woman is known by her behavior and her beauty is found in giving it away.

                                                       IDENTIFICATION

Intuitive Law of Beauty number 36 is about speaking into the listening. Let me explain! If we want to know we have to ask. Ancient Wisdom states, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For everyone that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Luke 11: 9-10.”

 This is for all of us and those who pursue this promise will receive it, yet, what happens when you are dealing with someone or a group of people that have no concern for the truth of this Ancient Knowledge and Wisdom.

 The promise still remains, however, we need to IDENTIFY with their listening abilities, and understand their reference point of truth for as a man or woman thinkinth, so is it. I have lived on the planet long enough to know you cannot change anyone’s thinking or behavior unless it is from their own volition (seek and find knock and open.)

 Let me give you and example. I saw a beautiful woman in my store. I have seen her twice, a real beauty who happens to look like a dear friend of mine. I love and welcome the opportunities of all contacts from people, friends, and clients who think a person can add value to each of lives, or think we might have a connection or an opportunity, or even better – a friendship. This is part of the magic and connection of life that builds the tapestry of our lives into our destiny in due time. I handed this beauty the card of my friend and said, “I really think she is worth looking up you truly could be sisters, who knows, perhaps a good friendship can come out of it, the resemblance is truly amazing”.

 Deep in artistry with another client she approached me and said “ May I speak to you, and  proceeded to tell me I was an insult to her to take the card back and next time she saw me in the store make sure I was invisible to her.” Quite surprised I realized a profound moment my friend is a PhD. And Psychologist.   This rare beauty whose name is unknown to me was offended due to her history, IDENTIFICATION, my intent was to make a new friend and offer up service, her receiving was one of insult, humiliation, and anger.

 Now here is the lesson.. We do know know this woman’s past, perhaps she had a husband, who told her she was crazy, or a father, or a peer. Whatever the experience she was speaking from her history and took offence in the present. This is why we do not carry our bag of rocks in our backpacks to our present, it stops life.

 I did not take it personal, however, I was reminded to walk in more understanding and humility, that even when we mean well, we do not know the burden of the past someone is carrying, from her history to the present.

 Because we are free from the power of the past and no longer believe in ghosts, does not mean that others are not suffering from deep wounds, unresolved, and gapping holes that are draining life.

 Next time you do your random act of kindness, remember even if not received well, it will not come back void, and perhaps if I would of done a little more IDENTIFICATION with her before I proceeded with my perceived help I could have been of more service.

 Take time to listen today, before acting, IDENTIFING before recommending, and speak into someone ability to listen.
